About

Troels D. Larsen (born 1961, Denmark) has cultivated a rich artist practice that has spanned over the past four decades. His work explores the juxtaposition of medieval Goldsmithing techniques with modern and timeless Danish design. Troels apprenticed in  Copenhagen under the Danish Master Goldsmith Ferdinand Antvorskov from 1982-1986, learning the old world craft of creating custom fine jewelry. He relocated to Laguna Beach, California shortly after his apprenticeship.

Since relocating to Laguna, Troels has gained notoriety on both a local and international scale for his innovative, handmade jewelry designs and use of premium gemstones set in 18K gold, 22K gold, and platinum. Developing long-lasting relationships with his clients and collaborating with them to create their dream piece of jewelry is paramount to Troels’ philosophy. Troels fabricates every piece by hand with intention and was the AGTA Spectrum Award winner in 2006 and 2016, and MJSA Vision Award winner in 2007. Every summer, he showcases his work at the Festival of Arts and Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach, California.
